Simply watch the fishermen bring in their daily catch on the beach, stroll around the many craft shops where you can buy anything from African hand made jewellery to beautiful hand paintings or just enjoy a cold beer on the wonderful Santa Maria beach.

If you are feeling more energetic, you can enjoy surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving and snorkeling all of which have local tuition. Other activities include deep sea fishing, sailing and quad biking.

If you want to spend a few hours away from your Penthouse or the beach, you can visit the salt lakes at Pedra De Lume or pay a visit to the main town of Espargos.
